Finding Cuisinart replacement parts for my food processor is, to put it bluntly, a pain in the ass. I have a unique processor with an oval base (some special edition model) that my wife and I got as a wedding gift, and believe it or not, I’ve gone looking for replacement parts many times. My wife and I are big into repairing instead of buying new stuff (you have to be to save money these days) and we use our processor a lot, so over time things get worn down.
But sadly, every time I look for new parts I come up empty. We’ve honestly considered just cutting our losses and buying a new model that will fit the universal replacement parts from Cuisinart. Now, I hate the idea of buying a new food processor when ours works (mostly) fine, so I decided to do one more search before giving up and going to Bed Bath and Beyond.
I started searching for “Cuisinart food processor parts,” but that gave me most of the same results you’ll usually find online — bowls and parts designed for a round base. Then I searched for “Cuisinart oval base parts” and I got lots of overpriced options that were too rich for my blood. Finally, I stumbled on Kitchen Works Inc., and it seemed like my prayers were answered.
Firstly, Kitchen Works proved to have a pretty big selection of replacement parts for a ton of Cuisinart food processors. They even have a page on their site that helps you identify your specific model number (which is how I found out that there is more than one oval base model). This was very helpful and allowed me to find the right pieces for our processor. Secondly, their prices are much better than some of the other sites I’ve seen. I was able to get a new lid for our bowl, a new blade, a few blade discs, and a rubber spatula.
And despite our efforts not to buy new things unless it’s necessary, Kitchen Works did manage to tempt my wife and I into buying a few new tools. They’ve got digital thermometers, bakeware sets, even a steel can and bottle crusher that I have used to compess our recycling (it’s a weirdly fun way to spend an afternoon). If you’re looking for a way to outfit your kitchen with the latest gadgets without spending an arm and a leg, I can not recommend Kitchen Works enough.
Kitchen Works allowed us to continue using the food processor we’ve had for almost a decade — and now it has all the accessories to function just like new. Both my wife and I were very impressed by the variety of parts Kitchen Works had available, as well as their helpful customer service (the guide to find your model number) and fast shipping. I know if we need to buy any more replacement parts in the future, we will come here before we check out any other sites.
