We all know that student spends most of their time in the course of study. It is a lengthier process and one needs to be very careful and attentive. Every process has various steps and also has a pattern. But few learners fail to follow the steps and pattern of the study process and end up losing interest in the study. To build the interest one has to be proactive and a few measures must be taken to be a good learner. In this article, we will throw some light on various steps of studying.
Have an early kick start
Starting the process of studying early plays a vital role in studying. One has to note that the study must be initiated at least a fortnight before the examination. This helps in grasping the subject knowledge at a stress-free pace and also one will have adequate time to spend on every concept. A slow and understandable process of study is far better than a fast and mugging up process of study. The early start technique ensures that the learner will be able to read, understand, summarise and also have enough time to memories the topics frequently till one face the examination.
Make own study material
In the academic curriculum, the study material is provided in the form of a textbook yet the study has to prepare his study material by taking down notes while studying. This method has to be started when a chapter is started and the notes have to be maintained till the final examination to read through the entire academic year. Notes must be handy, creative and attractive with tables, charts and mind mapping. Set time for revision
When the study is started early, it is a common tendency of the student that one studies at a very slow pace and tries to read till the last minute. This method is wrong. The study must be done at one’s normal pace and time must be given for revision as well. Revision allows one to know how many concepts are understood and what are the things that need more attention. One must also set the revision time in such a way that there must be an ample amount of time after revision to re-read the concepts that one has forgotten or not understood. Revision is the step where one gets to know where a learner stands how deep is the subject knowledge.

Every chapter has a few important theorems, formulae, questions, equations and examples. While reading for the first time one must pay special attention to these areas and also while revising these things must be revised and reread on a priority of basis. The maths subject will have theorems, chemistry will have a chemical formula of compounds, biology will have functions of various parts such as function of placenta, the function of stomata and English will have grammar and comprehension. The practise test is one of the best ways of understanding the knowledge gained after learning. rough idea to the students whether to continue with the concept or move on to further syllabus. The will help to understand the areas where one is lagging behind. Practice tests also aid in the quick revision of the entire syllabus.
